Andrea Kimi Antonelli arrives at Interlagos as world champion. The Drivers' title is already settled, with a 119-point lead over Max Verstappen and 100 still available at most between now and the end of the championship. Brazil therefore shifts the centre of attention: there is no longer an open fight for the drivers, but there is still a Constructors' World Championship to keep in the balance.

In the Constructors' standings, Mercedes leads with 630 points, ahead of Ferrari on 504. The gap is 126 points, with 172 still up for grabs when São Paulo and the three races left after this weekend are also taken into account. The German team can already seal the deal in Brazil: to do so, it must leave Interlagos with a lead of more than 129 points over every rival, so gain at least 4 points on Ferrari.

The eve also brings a new face. Rafael Câmara makes his Formula 1 debut with Haas alongside Oliver Bearman, after confirmation from the team that Esteban Ocon will not return to a full-time seat for the rest of 2026. For the Brazilian, it will be a debut in front of his home crowd, in a weekend that adds a new story to the São Paulo round.

The circuit: Autódromo José Carlos Pace

The Autódromo José Carlos Pace, universally known as Interlagos, is located in São Paulo, Brazil and measures 4.309 km. It is a circuit Formula 1 knows well: inaugurated in 1940, it has for decades been part of the most recognisable geography of the World Championship.

From 1973 to 2019 it hosted 37 editions of the Brazilian Grand Prix counting towards the World Championship, while since 2021 it has become the venue of the São Paulo Grand Prix. Here in 2025, Lando Norris won ahead of Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen.
