MotoGP Brazil Ducati in crisis: from the dream of dominance to the nightmare of reality: between crashes, insufficient pace and Aprilia superiority, Ducati leaves the Brazilian GP with more doubts than certainties
Goiânia – It was meant to be a confirming round, and instead it turned into a warning sign. The Grand Prix of Brazil showed a vulnerable Ducati, unable to respond to Aprilia's superiority and also let down by the mistakes of its key men.
A race that changes the pecking order and opens up new scenarios for the world championship.
The Ducati disaster in the race
Brazilian Sunday was a concentration of difficulties for the Borgo Panigale manufacturer.
The heaviest blow comes from Pecco Bagnaia's crash, an episode that shatters the factory team's ambitions and paints a picture of a difficult moment.
Not even Marc Márquez manages to reverse the trend: competitive at times, but never truly able to attack for victory, he finishes off the podium.
The only positive sign is Fabio Di Giannantonio's third place, a result that is still not enough to hide an overall underwhelming performance.
Perfect Aprilia, unsustainable pace
On the other side, Aprilia puts in an impeccable performance.
Marco Bezzecchi dominates the race with authority, setting a pace that is impossible for the rivals to match. Behind him Jorge Martin completes a one-two that confirms the leap forward made by the Noale manufacturer.
The difference is seen above all in race management: consistency, cleanliness and total control of tyre degradation.
A level that Ducati, in Brazil, never even managed to get close to.
The Desmosedici problems
The real issue emerges clearly: the Desmosedici, on this track, did not work.
The main issues:
difficulty in tyre management
instability in cornering phases
inability to maintain competitive race pace
After the encouraging signs in the Sprint, Sunday’s collapse highlights an unexpected technical gap.
And when the pace is missing, in modern MotoGP, there are no alternative strategies.
World championship reopened
The Brazilian GP is not just a race lost: it is a strong signal for the championship.
Aprilia takes centre stage and launches a concrete title bid, while Ducati loses that sense of superiority built up in recent seasons.
Bezzecchi takes the lead and, above all, changes the perception of the championship: there is no longer a single dominant rider.
Austin already decisive
The calendar leaves no room for regrets.
MotoGP now moves to Austin, a track historically favourable to Márquez and a potential turning point for Ducati.
An immediate response will be needed, not only in results but in performance.
Because if the same difficulties were to emerge in Texas as well, then the Brazilian GP would stop being an isolated episode and become the beginning of a new era.
