Ducati Monster 2026: cruise control arrives, updated V2 engine and a new sport livery. Discover all the new features of Ducati's naked bike.
Ultimogiro Newsroom · 17 March 2026 · 2 min read

The naked bike from the Borgo Panigale manufacturer evolves: comfort, electronics and a livery that recalls its history
The new Ducati Monster 2026 marks another step forward for one of the most iconic naked bikes on the market. It is not a total revolution, but a targeted evolution that focuses on three key elements: technology, engine and aesthetic identity.
And among the most eagerly awaited new features, there is finally an update that truly changes the everyday riding experience.
Ducati Monster 2026: what really changes
Cruise control arrives: the Monster becomes more “complete”
The most concrete and tangible new feature is the introduction of cruise control, a function that had so far been missing on a pure naked bike like the Monster.
A choice that marks a change in philosophy:
more comfort on longer journeys less stress on long motorway stretches greater versatility of use
It does not turn the Monster into a tourer, but it certainly makes it more usable even outside an urban or sporty context.
V2 engine: 111 CV and a new, more usable delivery
The heart of the Monster remains the new 890 cc V2 twin-cylinder engine, completely updated to comply with Euro 5+ regulations.
The numbers:
111 CV of power 91 Nm of torque over 80% of the torque available between 4,000 and 10,000 rpm
But the most interesting figure is not the raw power: it is the power delivery.
Thanks to variable valve timing, the engine offers:
smooth response at low revs strong mid-range punch strong top-end pull
A balance that makes the Monster easier to ride, without losing Ducati's sporting DNA.
New Sport livery: a tribute to Ducati's history
On the styling front, the real new feature is the new Sport Livery, a colour scheme that directly recalls the legendary Monster S4.
The colour mix plays on:
racing grey and red details on the wheels, fuel tank and tail section more aggressive and premium look
An operation that is not only aesthetic, but also about identity: Ducati aims to strengthen the link between past and present.
Advanced electronics: more control, more safety
The Monster 2026 continues to rely on a complete electronics package:
customisable riding modes traction control wheelie control cornering ABS
All managed by an increasingly refined system, designed to adapt to both newcomers and more experienced riders.
Lighter and more agile: it stays true to the Monster DNA
Despite the technological evolution, Ducati has not lost sight of the essence of the model.
The new generation:
weighs around 175 kg is more compact retains intuitive and direct handling
The result is a bike that remains faithful to the original concept:👉 essential, sporty, instantly responsive.
Price and availability
The new Monster with Sport livery will be available from 2026 with prices starting at around 13,390 euro, with the Plus version slightly more expensive.
Conclusion: intelligent evolution, not revolution
The Ducati Monster 2026 does not radically change the project, but refines it where it really matters.
👉 more comfort (cruise control)👉 more usable engine👉 more refined styling
It is a more mature Monster, without losing the character that made it an icon.
