The Thailand Grand Prix opens the MotoGP season with a surprise: Marco Bezzecchi triumphs at Buriram, at the end of a race dominated from start to finish. The Italian rider makes the most of Aprilia's competitiveness and manages the advantage over the pursuers with authority.

Behind him finishes Pedro Acosta, the protagonist of another very solid performance. The KTM rider from Spain tries to stay in touch with the leader in the early stages, but as the laps go by he has to settle for second place, still valuable for the World Championship standings.

On the third step of the podium is Raul Fernandez, who completes a remarkable day for Aprilia, confirming the competitiveness of the Italian bike at the Thai circuit.

Aprilia in the spotlight

The Buriram GP sees Aprilia in the spotlight, with several riders in the leading positions for much of the race. The Noale manufacturer shows very competitive race pace and manages to put several bikes in the leading positions, an important sign for the start of the season.

Complicated race for Ducati

Much more difficult, instead, is the race for the factory Ducatis. Francesco Bagnaia struggles to find pace and finishes far from the podium, while Marc Marquez is forced to retire after a technical problem during the race.

For the Borgo Panigale manufacturer, therefore, it is a difficult start to the season, while Aprilia and KTM already seem very competitive.

A spectacular start to the season

The Thailand GP thus delivers the first verdicts of the 2026 World Championship: Bezzecchi starts with an important victory, Acosta confirms his talent and Aprilia sends a strong signal to the rivals.

The MotoGP season has only just begun, but the spectacle already promises a fierce battle for the title.
