Catalonia becomes the testing ground for the new Aprilia

Montmeló has never been an easy track for Aprilia. Fast corners, slippery asphalt and tyre management always at the limit have often complicated the Noale team’s plans, especially in recent seasons. This time, however, the atmosphere is different. The Italian team arrives at the Catalan Grand Prix with the awareness of finally having a bike capable of competing everywhere.

The RS-GP arrives in Spain as the championship’s technical benchmark, backed by steady progress that in recent weeks has changed the balance of MotoGP. The results achieved at Le Mans and Silverstone have finally ignited Aprilia’s title ambitions, and now it wants to turn its World Championship lead into a real show of strength.

In Barcelona there will not only be a race to tackle, but a kind of maturity exam. Because winning or even just dominating on a historically difficult track would mean confirming that the Noale project is now ready for the title.

Bezzecchi, World Championship leader: “Staying competitive is what matters”

The Italian rider preaches calm but feels the step forward made by the RS-GP

Marco Bezzecchi arrives in Catalonia carrying the weight and pride of the World Championship lead. A new situation for the Italian rider, who nevertheless continues to keep a low profile despite the extraordinary moment the team is experiencing.

The rider from Romagna has repeatedly stressed that the season is still very long and that just a few difficult weekends are enough to completely overturn the standings. Behind the caution, however, there is clearly growing confidence in the RS-GP.

The Italian bike has found consistency especially on race pace, becoming one of the most effective in tyre management and corner entry speed. These aspects could make the difference at Montmeló, a circuit where maintaining speed and stability through the long corners is essential.

Bezzecchi knows well the importance of the Catalan weekend. If Aprilia manages to be competitive even on a traditionally tricky track, then the World Championship bid will definitely stop being just a possibility.

Jorge Martin gets his smile back: “Now the bike feels like mine”

The Spaniard wants to shine in front of the home crowd

The face of Aprilia’s revival inevitably also bears the name of Jorge Martin. After difficult months, marked by injuries and a more complicated than expected adaptation, the world champion has returned to the forefront with a dominant performance at Le Mans that has revived his title hopes.

The French victory has brought enthusiasm back to the environment and especially to Martin himself, who in recent outings has finally shown the feeling everyone expected with the RS-GP.

The Spaniard explained that he feels increasingly comfortable with the Italian bike, especially in cornering and quick changes of direction. Important sensations ahead of Montmeló, a track that requires absolute precision and total confidence in the front end.

Racing in front of the home crowd will inevitably represent an extra motivation. Martin wants to confirm his positive momentum and further reduce the gap to Bezzecchi in the standings, in an internal challenge that is becoming one of the most fascinating themes of the MotoGP season.

Montmeló puts the new Aprilia to the test

Reduced grip and decisive tyres: the RS-GP seeks validation

The Catalan circuit is one of the most technical and delicate on the entire calendar. The low-grip asphalt and often high temperatures force the riders to manage tyre wear with extreme care, especially at the rear.

In previous years Aprilia had suffered precisely in these conditions, paying for difficulties in corner-entry stability and in managing degradation over the long term. Today, however, the picture seems to have changed.

The new RS-GP has shown much more effective balance and a greater ability to maintain consistency in race pace. From an aerodynamic point of view too, the bike appears more stable in the fast corners, a detail that could prove decisive in Catalonia.

The work carried out by the engineers from Noale during the winter is beginning to produce concrete results and Montmeló will be one of the most reliable tests to understand the real level of the Italian bike.

Ducati chases, Bagnaia warns Aprilia

The World Championship battle enters the thick of it

If until a few months ago Ducati was the absolute reference in MotoGP, today the paddock looks at Aprilia differently. The Borgo Panigale manufacturer remains competitive, but the latest races have highlighted a less clear-cut superiority than in previous seasons.

Pecco Bagnaia continues to consider Aprilia the most dangerous rival at the moment. The rider from Piedmont admitted that the Catalan track could suit the RS-GP’s characteristics very well, especially on race pace.

The feeling is that the World Championship battle has entered a new phase. Ducati can no longer limit itself to controlling the championship: now it must chase an Aprilia capable of asserting itself both technically and mentally.

Aprilia dreams of the decisive blow in Catalonia

Barcelona can change the MotoGP season

The Catalan Grand Prix arrives at a crucial moment in the season. Aprilia has the chance to consolidate its lead and, above all, to send a definitive message to the competition.

For years Noale has chased Ducati in an attempt to reduce the technical gap. Today, instead, the situation seems to have been reversed. The RS-GP has become a complete bike, fast over a single lap and above all extremely effective over race distance.

Montmeló will say a great deal about the true World Championship ambitions of the Veneto manufacturer. Because if Aprilia manages to prevail even on a historically difficult track, then the title dream can truly turn into a concrete possibility.
