The World Championship leader also dominates Race 2 and extends his advantage in the SBK standings
Nicolò Bulega continues to ride at a level unreachable for the rest of the grid. At Most, the Aruba Ducati rider completed another perfect weekend by winning the Superpole Race and Race 2 after also taking victory in Saturday’s opening race. A technical and mental superiority that is now turning the 2026 Superbike World Championship into a long march towards the title.
At the Czech circuit, the rider from Emilia controlled every phase of Sunday with absolute authority. From the aggressive start to the final laps, Bulega managed pace, tyre wear and pressure from his rivals without ever giving the impression of being in real trouble. Once again it was Iker Lecuona behind him, while Yari Montella completed yet another Ducati podium in a season that is taking on the contours of total domination.
Most confirms a reality that is now obvious in the paddock: today the Panigale V4 R is the benchmark bike and Nicolò Bulega the most complete rider in the category.
Most Superbike Race 2: Bulega controls it, Lecuona tries
Aggressive start and immediately very high pace
Race 2 lit up immediately after the lights went out. Bulega made a strong start, immediately looking to impose his own pace, but Iker Lecuona responded by staying glued to Ducati number 11 in the opening laps.
The internal duel in the Aruba garage animated the early stages of the race. Lecuona tried to apply pressure especially under braking at the heaviest stops on the Czech circuit, using a bike that was very stable through direction changes. Bulega, however, never lost his composure, continuing to lap with impressive precision.
As the laps went by, the world championship leader gradually began to make the difference. Rear-tyre management and the ability to maintain constant speed even in the most technical sectors allowed the Italian to build the decisive margin.
The riders’ comments after Race 2
After the race Bulega said he found the ideal feeling with the bike on Sunday, underlining the work done by the team to improve the Panigale’s stability on corner exit.
The Ducati rider explained that he wanted to control the race without taking unnecessary risks, especially after realising in the opening stages that the pace was enough to create an advantage.
Lecuona, meanwhile, admitted that his team-mate had something extra in the second half of the race. The Spaniard still said he was satisfied with the progress shown during the weekend, confirming steady growth that could make him one of the main rivals in the second part of the season.
Ducati untouchable at Most: a podium dominated by the Panigales
Montella again a protagonist with Barni Racing
Behind the Aruba Ducati pair, another important confirmation arrived for Italian motorcycling. Yari Montella took a valuable third place with the Barni Racing team, riding an intelligent race without errors.
The rider from Campania chose not to push in the opening laps, managing tyre degradation before consolidating the podium in the second part of the race. A strategy that allowed him to fend off the charge of the pursuers and give Ducati another near-triple.
Most once again highlighted the superiority of the Panigale V4 R, especially under acceleration and braking stability. Elements that are making the difference at almost every circuit on the 2026 calendar.
The rivals chase amid problems and crashes
The Czech weekend proved complicated for most of Ducati’s direct rivals. Andrea Locatelli went down, losing important points in the standings, while Alex Lowes was unable to convert the good pace shown in free practice.
A difficult weekend too for Axel Bassani, slowed by technical problems, and for Alvaro Bautista, still affected by the physical difficulties that had already emerged in the earlier sessions.
The impression from the Most round is clear: at the moment, nobody seems to have the consistency needed to really challenge Bulega over the long term.
Superbike World Championship 2026: Nicolò Bulega ever closer to the title
Impressive numbers for the Ducati rider
With the double completed in the Czech Republic, Nicolò Bulega further strengthens his championship lead and updates already impressive statistics.
The consistency shown by the Italian rider is becoming the true hallmark of his season. pole position, race management and the ability to adapt to every condition are turning the 2026 championship into one of the most dominant years seen in Superbike in recent seasons.
What stands out is not just the number of victories, but above all the way they come. Bulega controls the races with maturity, avoids mistakes and manages to increase the pace at the decisive moments.
Ducati and Bulega: the perfect pairing of modern SBK
The Most round definitively confirmed how the partnership between Ducati and Nicolò Bulega now represents the absolute benchmark of world Superbike.
The Panigale V4 R continues to prove itself the most complete bike on the grid, while the rider from Emilia seems to have reached total technical and mental maturity.
With much of the season still to run, the World Championship remains mathematically open. But after the domination shown at Most, the message sent by the championship leader is crystal clear: to beat Nicolò Bulega, something very close to a feat will be required.
