MotoGP, Di Giannantonio fastest at Lusail: Marquez and Martin in Q2

Fabio Di Giannantonio opens Friday at Lusail ahead of everyone else in MotoGP Practice. The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider sets the new track record in 1:50.406 and leaves Marc Marquez almost a tenth and a half behind. Marco Bezzecchi puts Aprilia Racing in third place.

The session also changes shape for Marquez, stopped by a chain problem on his GP26 when a little under half an hour remained. Back on track, the Spaniard returns to the top with the first 1’50 of the weekend, a 1:50.925. Francesco Bagnaia finishes in second place.

Q2

Jorge Martin finds the good lap at the end and climbs from 16th to fifth, securing direct access to Q2. Advancing with him are also Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez, already in the provisional direct-qualifying places in the early stages of the day.
